Delete your Somie account
You can delete your account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
In the app
Open Somie, go to Settings, then Delete my account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. The deletion happens immediately — there is no waiting period and nothing to email.
By email
If you cannot get into the app, email support@somiesocial.com from the address on your account. We will verify it is you and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your profile, name, email address and date of birth
- Your Somie Score and your campaign history
- Photos you uploaded as proof, and any verification documents
- Your Instagram and TikTok connections. We also tell those platforms to revoke Somie's access, so no permission is left behind on their side.
- Ratings and reviews written about you
- Push notification registrations for your devices
- Any active subscription is cancelled
What is kept, and why
- Ratings you gave other people, with your name and any written review removed. Those ratings are part of someone else's reputation, and deleting them would quietly change it.
- A record that actions took place — for example that a campaign was approved — with your identity removed. We keep this so we can answer questions about what happened, not who did it.
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as tax and payment records, for as long as the law requires.
